380 SEL Supercharger, HELP

i am new to this board and looking for some help. I have found a 380 sel with carat by duchatalet, on the rear, and the engine is the V8 with a well designed and fitted supercharger, the car is in the UK, and the seller believes that the modification is from new, in addition the suspension is slightly lower,
can anyone give me some info on this vehicle, I know that duch.. is now known for lavish interiors ajnd stretch/armoured vehicles, but did they fit superchargers on 1981??

Hi,
I believe you are quite correct, Carat are a styling company and I do no recall any engine mods by them.

If the carat mods were done in the uk then it would have been through Lancasters at Hertford, who were the uk agents at around that time.
Maybe they still have some records from then?

Thanks for the help, have contacted Lancasters... waiting to see what they come up with. I now know that the supercharger is made/ fitted by albrex, any ideas for albrex agents in the UK, I have emailed from their website, but no response as yet.
nb car runs very well, good performance, any ideas where I could find performance specs for this modification.

As your car will be part of a small production run of modified vehicles the best source of performance data would be from the manufacturer of the turbo charger. *I am not certain this would have been done at stealerership level- why turbo/ super charge a 380 when they could charge so much more for a 500.
