am thinkin of getting a 1990 2.6manual 190e, who's got one?

had an standard 2L 190e and apart from the near-immediate jostle in the suspension upon going sideways, i found sliding was achieved extremely easily on moist grounds, but i could not maintain the drifts for more than 70 or so metres at safe speeds, shortfall in power, low skill? i'm not bothered tuning it up n all that jazz, just want a motor thats naturally efficient, can anyone recommend the 2.6 for this, anybody got experience with this particular model, the 1990 2.6 manual before i purchase?
are they as reliable as the smaller model?
not sure the owner would appreciate me test driving in said manner so i thought i'd discover first hand.
cheers in advance ?

Lost the back end of mine a few times, and that was a diesel auto!
It did have crap tyres though.

As Carol Shelby is fond of saying "too much power is just right"

Sounds like you can't go wrong with a 190.....
