I'm looking at a '97 C250 TD tomorrow. 63k on the clock, £9995 from an independant dealer. Any views/experiences relatiing to this model would be greatly appreciated.

I have a C250td sport Estate – its done 127k now with few probs.
The cost seems enough, depends if it is automatic,(preferable) classic, elegance or sport, make sure the MB service record is there, good tyres (cost £90+ a time!) Is it metallic? - Silver is very popular. Always sensible to see V5 & contact previous owner.
Not a tyre burner but built like a tank!
