Need to get a new headlamp bulb for my C class (H7 type)

Went down halfords, and found a huge array of various makes and types each with there own claims!

Should I just get an Halfords own bulb - £8 (to replace the MB Osram), or is it really worth spending £30 on "upgraded" bulbs?????

Has anyone tried these various bulbs on a MB? Were they worth the extra?

my dipped headlamp blew a yr ago.

i replaced it with a standard h7 spec bulb from the local spare shop for about a fiver.

i am not much into the fancy blue lights which people seem to fit to their cars .

just my opinion.

im sure the dealer is cheaper than £8 for a bulb....

Sometimes , well , most times , halfords is really expencive , try a smaller motor factors or the dealer.

I was in the Main Dealer parts department a few months back, A girl came in for a brake bulb on a SLK they charged her 87p.
So I think the headlamp bulbs will be reasonable too.

The lights on the w202 are absymal. I upgraded to Philips Visionplus.
The main beam has improved significantly in both intensity & distance.
The dipped beam is worse than the standard bulb fitment & I have now replaced the original pair.

Be wary of wasting money.
