I have just fitted a towbar to my C200 but am confused about the wiring of the N and S sockets. I was just going to tap into the wiring looms but the workshop manual suggests that the car is fitted with a 13 pin adaper/connector and fuse box. I have searched the boot area and cannot find them - does anyone know if they are fitted and, if so, where?
Thanks in advance
Christopher

I have a prewired socket with a 13pin socket. I presume there is one for your car too, should be a straight fit. I found a socket inside the boot where the towing socket wiring loom is connected to. Not sure where yours is though.

You can get a 13 to 7 pin adapter from MB, at least over here they cost $30 or so, they work and they will also show up a blown bulb on your trailer.

Many thanks for the information.
I haven't found the socket yet but will have another look tomorrow.
If all else fails, I will have to go to a MB service department but I am trying to avoid the costs!
