I recently bought a new E320 CDi Avantgard with COMAND APS and telephone prewiring (386) and cradle for a Nokia 6310i in the centre console. Our company has now changed our phones to Nokia 6820 so I want to change the cradle.
From my local MB dealer, I got a B67875835 cradle for Nokia 6100/6610/7250i and it has the same fitting for the 6820 (CARK126) but I haven't been able to get it to work. With the cradle and 6820 installed, the dash display continues to say "Insert phone". Is there something else I need to do so that the cradle/phone is recognised by the system.

many thanks,
John.....

Hi

You need to buy the right cradle for the phone if its available

Thanks for your reply.
A cradle specifically for the 6820 is not yet available but I guess MB will introduce one eventually as the 63xx has been discontinued. I'll just have to wait on them.

cheers,
John.....

Hi John (jferguson),

When you bought the new cradle (for nokia 6100, etc), did you have to get it fitted? Or were you able to simply remove the old one and plug in the new one?
Just wondering whether the cost of it is worth it given I'll prob make 2 calls in a year when in the car.

Thanks,
Habs
