Explaining the car could be easy in comparison to explaining the repair bills lol

I wonder if any members on here have ever parted out a W215?
What did it raise £?
How long did it take for 'requests' to dry up?
What were you left with? ...was scrapman happy collecting the final leftovers

It looks very good and the "dateless" plate is okay.

It is a heck of a lot of car for the money and rather tempting... but:
- The seller is very unlikely to budge under £2K
- Still a lorra car for £2K though
- Of course it could be a heck of a lot of service bills to come...
- No close up or mention of tyre tread - what's a set going to cost?
- What mpg would be expected?

- No close up or mention of tyre tread - what's a set going to cost? Depends on wheels; standard is 245/40fr and 265/35 rear on 18" rims.
- What mpg would be expected?18-20mpg combined, 25-26mpg on a run.

Remember, I got mine for £2.4k when the average state of the market was £4.5-5k. They have dropped significantly over the last year or so.

They key to keeping these cars on the road and in good condition is regular maintenance- check fluids, check struts, check filters, check battery.

Above all, do not leave it standing in a field for 6 months. Keep driving it regularly. I'm convinced that this is what caused the rear valve block to gunk up- see the attached for the tail off in mileage since mid 2010.

It surprised me too as I had an inkling it went to £480, but I was clearly being mental and had invented it in the back of my mind
