Can anyone recommend a good snow foam lance and snow foam? There's plenty around but I'd like to get people's opinions on ones they own before I purchase.

I use the one that comes with my Karcher pressure washer, works well!

...and I use this (with my Kärcher K6.85 pressure washer). The Autobrite lance and foam work very well.

Bargain at this price! :D

I've tried the Karcher one and couldn't get a good consistency, it was always to thick and clumpy and didn't cling to the paint work.

I've had my eye on the Autobrite one and seen it has good reviews. I'm going to order that one and see how I get on. Have you tried a different foam with it at all?

Mine doesn't when there is a good coat of wax on the car.

Haven't tried it with other than the Autobrite Magifoam, but I can see no reason why it shouldn't be as effective with other products. The lance is very controllable, easily creating anything from 'whipped cream' to 'drizzle'.

The autobrite one is good ...you get good thick foam . I have the karcher as well , not as adjustable . Get the autobrite and a 5L foam , I'm sure eBay does them as a kit for £50 ish .

As Alex has said the foam wont sit on the paintwork when the car has been waxed. which is a good sign.

So, if I keep my car well waxed then is it pointless to have a foam gun?

No as the foam will still pull the dirt off the car with it.

It's a dangerous read for the wallet this forum.:p:p

I'd HATE to think how dangerous it's been so far!

Still- Amazon Prime, £159 and delivery tomorrow. Not half bad.

Would like to know how good or bad it is as I've been toying with the idea of buying a petrol driven washer, just for the sheer power and versatility.

This is the smallest "full" variant. It has an 1.8kW motor. I've used Dad's before, older model but around the same and I know with that you can cut yourself on the water jet if it's fine enough.

At 1800W the motor needs water cooling, which I found really quite neat.

If you are not using it turn it off unless the newer ones have an auto cut off, they used to burn motors out
