That's a very nasty prang...
You are insured to have the vehicle restored to "the condition it was in prior to the accident".
- That means that you should not be able to see/feel any difference in the repaired area of the car.
- If the feedback you've seen suggests the recommended repairer will not achieve this then call the insurance company.
- I would tell them that if you use their insurer you expect them to indemnify you against subsequent charges for damage when the vehicle is retired from lease.
- Have they specified a replacement door or skin panel?
You can as phils says insist that your car is repaired by an MB approved repairer and the insurer can't insist otherwise.
