Great to see Robert Kubica testing for Renault. Very fast before his rally car accident, it would be breat to see him return, even at the expense of Jolyon Palmer.

Yes I agree. JP has had a lot of bad luck but he is still no where as near as quick as the Hulk when is trouble free.

Renault is also getting a lot of media attention and adding Kubica will only add to this. I just don't think JP is good enough for F1, at least not yet and had he not had his father's funds he may not have had this year's seat.

Been watching Lando Norris for a few years now and he is the 'real deal'. - Great test result yesterday!

.
To be within 0.261 sec from Vettel and ahead of Raikkonen is indeed a brilliant result. The fact he was in an underpowered McLaren is the icing on the cake.

Although the headline time looks good. I would expect that the Ferrari wasn’t running in a similar mode to the McLaren. There’s no way on earth McLaren have just ‘found’ that kind of pace in a couple of days.

Not knocking the kid at all. He can obviously drive well. But McLaren fans need not get excited just yet.

Indycar seem to be way ahead when it comes to TV. If memory serves me correctly they were also the first to offer HD viewing and 4K viewing for fans at home. Sky is about 3-4yrs behind them with 4K only on offer from the start of this season.

Imagine it through Maggots and Becketts at Silverstone too.

I think with Liberty in charge now things will change quickly, Bernie was a dinosaur and had no understanding of tech and what it can do for the Fan experience

He had some good ideas though. I liked his Sprinkler idea. Belting down the pit straight in Monza at Mach 6 with supersofts on. Only to reach the 90deg R/L chicane and find you needed a snorkel let alone wet tyres.

Now that would be awesome. :D

I sense there would be a considerable amount of pirouetting

Interesting, I thought they were getting ready to replace him.

Not when they want to keep Vettel. He doesn’t like a competitive partner and by all accounts he told Ferrari he would only stay if they resigned Kimi for another year.

Kimi is a great driver. But not in the same league as Alonso, Hamilton and Vettel.

Kimi is keeping the seat warm for Verstappen. Vettel will jump ship to Mercedes and Hamilton will quit end of 2018.

Do you want the winning lottery numbers?:)

I can see Hamilton doing a swap to Ferrari. Can’t see him in the same team as Vettel and I don’t think Mercedes would want to have that big a wage bill for them both.

Then there is the potential for Merc to quit F1 and stick with FE.

Kimi's contract has probably killed off the driver movement for next year. However, 2019 should see a lot of movement.

Kimi to retire
VES or RIC to Ferarri alongside Perez
VET to Mercedes
Hamilton possibly to Ferrari - can't see him retiring yet and he would want a Ferrari drive before retirement
ALO...would have to see if he stays on for next year, I think he will

I was thinking Bottas would be moving as his contracts up and Alonso getting his seat.
