Empty garage, awaiting new toy :)
Don't forget the steering wheel adjustment as well, it's just as important as the seat positioning for getting comfy.

I do enjoy the comfort seats in both of my cars, I was so tired and aching during the move the massage function really worked well in the CL500, not something I use every day, but good on a long run.

Or you could just go sit on the driveway, fire her up and ease your aches away for 30 mins on tickover Malcolm!

Its an age thing, you are changing as you get old, the car stays the same;)

Think your right Malc gonna take the seats out and have my Sofa grafted in, (to the car, not my ass) Steve

Yes I have Television in both cars, might do that when the heating is disconnected in this house, no way of cooking though :(

You have a Carnot cycle engine there Malcolm, it runs on heat :D

Wrap a couple of eggs in tinfoil and sit them on top of the rad core :D

Every single Mercedes I have owned or driven has had a seat like a park bench when I started out in it. My current C Class has leather seats and like the others it has moulded itself to my shape, (I'll make the jokes!), over the period of a few weeks. The best seats I've come across so far are in my wife's 2003 CLK. Personally, I think they're better than my brother's CL500 even though it's a nicer car overall.

Both my W202s were like that. It was like sitting on granite.
The first one was bought new and sold on at 80k and never softened up. The second was bought at 80k and sold on with 150k and was slightly better.
I've just bought an S210 and thats also hard but softer than the first 202.
The 203 we had was firm but not as firm as the others.
On the other hand the r129 is very comfortable (130k miles) but thats leather and the others are all fabric.

Well after 3 years I've just had enough of my 2010 E 350.

My bum goes to sleep after 3 hours in the seat and I have lower back pain within 10 minutes of getting in the car. I have tried all the permutations of seat position and lumbar support position. It's a joke that a car of this alleged quality has such crap seats. I just wish I could fit Saab seats as I could do a 5 hour drive in any of my Saabs and get out as fresh as a daisy.

So its goodbye to MB, and I'm seriously considering a 508 GT estate

Don't Godwin the go for the 508 the seats are wfully hard I'm totally opposite and could drive for hours and hours in the 211 but the Pug just isn't as comfortable, lots of adjustment but just doesn't suit me. Your welcome to try my car too see what these seats are like depending where you are in the country

He's in France which might not help!
Personally if you've those sort of back problems maybe only a Volvo will help you....a Peugeot...? Non! If anything like the 407sw I had I'd rather walk
