Hi all, searched forum on this problem but came up blank, so here goes.
Wife came home today in clk complaining of diesel smell when blowers are on, so she parked up and let the vehicle cool, i popped out about an hour later, took the both engine covers off and could see slight dampness at No5 injector base, after thoroughly cleaning around the injector and running vehicle, it seems to be the injector seal that is leaking leaking. now is there anything i should look out for when attempting this job, i have no injector puller as yet, i am going to get a new seal, clamp and stretch bolt tomorrow, and attempt job on weekend, one thing i will say there is no black death around the injector base as its just started leaking (not chuffing). my plan is

- To remove the injector pipe from the fuel rail to injector
- undo torx hold down bolt
- remove injector clamp
- try and gently turn injector left and right and gently use pulling motion
- remove injector
- remove copper sealing washer
- clean seat
- anneal new copper washer
- refit all
- fingers crossed all will be well, but i doubt it lol
