My rvm isn't part of the automatic adjustments. Does your rvm move when you start the engine?

I wish my one wasn't either. Yes, it moves up/down, left/right. but goes to a setting that I dont want it be at. very annoying.

I never knew. And, is there a switch to adjust it...where?

It should be Ciaran! Memory interior mirror came as standard with memory seats for the 215. Mine only has memory seats (not the fancy-Dan massage/ vented) and it has memory interior mirror.

Set the mirror for your normal "profile" setting and save it in driver's doorpack as no.1. Then make a different seat and mirror setup as no.2.

When you press 1 again the mirror should auto adjust back.

Hi,
No switch, you have to adjust by hand and then if someone moves it, and you jump back in again and select your memory button, the mirror should come back to where you set it.

2005 CL500.
Mine is a 2005. No mention of it in the handbook which does mention seat and back rest position, multi contour back rest position (which I have), steering wheel position and exterior mirrors positions. Must have been dropped for the later model.

Edit: It was dropped for the later model after 2004.

It would have been nice...but it wasn't fitted from 2004 on.

Ah there we go then. That's interesting, I think it's a great feature, all cars should have it.

On the 129 its adjustable electrically from the mirror switches (and is stored in memory too). Strangely on the 230 its not there (when everything else and more is!).

no idea if my mirror supposed to girate to his, her position.. wfc.... .frankly still have some mobility in left arm, so more inclined to ponder on possible dramas that will involve a transporter. like shift locking up or wheel wedged into front wing cos of abc drop and i forgot to straighten up the wheels .and remembering to renew my eu aa relay subscription ,for the same reasons.

i dont want a stripped out car either nor do i want to be stuck on the side of the road watching a french recovery vehicle tearing the bottom out of my 38,000 mile car because its arse is on the ground and his transporter ramps are not correct for the job. now i would prefer it much more if benz had thought more on that and given the girating mirror a miss . harped on about this before, i retire early next yr and i will ,if i get bored, develop my own metalastic type blocks that can be fitted in such an event, my own version of the plastic shift lock, and a permanent solution to having keyless go turning me into a form filling pedestrian ,should someone develop a decent coil over for the r230 i will investigate that too. tho i would not change abc until i was looking at replacement pump, struts ect of course i could just buy a SL350 ,but the v doz is a silky motor of note ,thats my weak spot for this delightfully styled car.

Many cars come with transport blocks for moving cars from the factory to the dealers on transporters. I wonder if such a thing ever existed for the 230....?

Not that I've been able to find. The bushing would be a great idea for all ABC cars for sure.

lk, i remember those ,they were fitted in around the spring coils tho , not much help on the 230. why i remember is i did a very brief stint at a wadham stringer about when that pig montego came out and the boys ,keen for their pdi bonus failed to remove these blocks on a dozen new cars there were a number of irate new owners back at the dealer about 10 min after taking delivery.......
i WILL find a way.
