Whity how long, and how many miles, have you added 2t?
Just seen post , I've been away for a while so I missed it . I've been adding 2T and cetane in a mix for about 6-8 months to the E320cdi (2000miles ? ) in a mix of around 175ml 2T and 75ml cetane in an old redex 250ml bottle which makes it easy to pour into the tank . I do it mainly because of the introduction of low sulphur diesel which lacks the lubricity of the older diesel which was around when my car was made :) . I used to use diesel cleaners every so often but I have replaced it with the 2T cunning plan .

Ditto - 2T every fill, on every diesel I have owned going back many years.

I notice very little - if any - mpg improvement, but the engine on my CLC 220 sounds sweeter.
On a Fiat Multijet I also have, it really makes a difference to the engine smoothness.

My brother says this is just subjective waffle, but I run the cars, not him!

You should be seeing more than that, unless you have lead boots. My old 270 would better 60mpg on a good long run. The 270 5 cylinder motor was amazing for its economy - far better than my current 646 engine.

I haven't had it on a long run, we're talking 10-15 miles motorway max I've had her in the last 5 months of ownership. But Now you've got me curious. She's in for an oil change tomorrow so maybe I'll take her a run down the road and see what we can achieve... Been wanting to see the new Queensferry Crossing for a while now!

:( The garage highly recommended some replacement brake pipes on my visit yesterday and wouldn't even quote me a price... apparently they are a "nightmare" to replace.

Anyone had any experience cost wise?

I haven't , but a discussion with one of our Merc Indys on the site will know of any short cuts to getting the job done cheaper .

The rears are expensive as subframe & tank etc need to be dropped to route the new pipes above them. Good news is you're near Brian Melville, Mainly Mercs, Busby, he is good and reasonably priced too. Keep away from all of the Stratstone dealers in the area.
