How to put in adblue myself in my c220

Hi I’m new to this forum!
I have a merecedes c220 cdi blue efficiency 2014 plate.
I have just booked a B service which is costing me £452 and they have told me I have to pay extra £60 for adblue?
Can I put adblue in myself to avoid that extra cost?

Presumably you have the latest shape C class and its Bluetec, otherwise it doesn't need Adblue.

Hi, no it’s not blutec, it’s the 2014 shape blue efficiency model

I am also confused now? I was told by Mercedes that if they put adblue in they will charge me £60 for the pleasure, on top of my B service of £452!

Pop your vin number up and we can check - also have a look under the spare wheel / area as that’s where the tank should be. Have you ever had a warning on the dash ?

The Bluetec diesels are considered to be 'Blueefficiency' - mine (which is definitely a bluetec) is badged 'Blueefficiency' on the wings . .

And no, there's no problem doing it yourself - just make sure that everything's clean and don't splash it about . .

The Blueefficiency programme covers all Mercedes products afaik, both petrol and diesel. The diesels had the added 'Bluetec' badge and from 2010/2011 were (all ?) equipped with Adblue injection. This car would certainly have it . .

Mine is blue efficiency 2011 and is not bluetec. It is also euro5. I think the later w205 C classes are bluetec and Euro 6. 2014 was a changeover year on the C class from W204 to W205.
I believe Bluetec was introduced on the S class in 2010 but not the C class.

Mine's Euro6 from 2011, but I'm pretty sure that recent diesels will all be with Adblue . .

I doubt your car will have AdBlue, isn't a 2014 a W204 chassis???

Where are you based as that sounds expensive for a service (depending on what the car needs)
