I left mine in too, shouldn’t be a problem I don’t think Peter.
My unit came with an SD card reader /USB so I updated that then put it back in the MB2 ,did the update to the unit and left it in. As you say it didn’t say not to..
Thanks John
I was told by one user that its best to leave the card in as it stores extra fault codes.
I am not too convinced about that statement.
Peter

Took a rear spring off the 190 to clean it up a bit as it was showing it's age with lots of rust spots, nothing too serious but nevertheless annoying. No before picture sorry (I'll try to get one of the other side which is in similar condition), but here it is after a quick media blasting, nearly ready for paint. Which I've ran out of. And I'm not bothered today as I'm aching again because I'm old and knackered. :)

Dirty filthy horrible job which I must admit to not being used to any more. At least I've made a start...

Took it into MBS Southampton for a big B5 service including brake fluid change, new air filter, new fuel filter and transmission oil change. Passed the MOT with no advisories.

Had the pleasure of using their W202 C230 as a loan car - weren’t those dash board plastics awful in those days!(apologies to any 202 drivers ;) )

Despite a hiccup with the MOT completion, the whole experience at MBS was still far superior to my previous experience with the dealer. The date on the old oil filter and the clogged state of the old air filters suggests that previous work invoiced by the dealer was not always actually carried out. Anyway, the car felt much perkier on the journey home and it’s good to have confidence that the job has been properly done this time. Thanks @Cole@MBS

First major Valet inside and out since purchase. Body clay barred, and complete interior "Shampoo" . Only fly in the ointment is the drivers seat with usual Artico problem, but I'm working on that. From what I can see on the seat, main problem with the fabric splitting is that the stitches were inserted too close to the edge of the fabric, making it easy to pull apart. The wear and tear on the side bolster is a different issue...simply bad wearing fabric. But that's the next thing to get sorted. Had a local dealer do an OBD scan on it also. No codes showing, and everything working as it should. Do the ECU's hold any fault history? or anything to give a clue about previous repairs etc?
Driving like a dream.
