Pity about non response from ACMS. I use them for anything I can't do or if I don't want to do a particular job. Their actual workmanship is pretty good and there aren't many other local places I'd take my car to really.

Where is the best place to source a genuine Air Filter, Cabin Filter, Fuel Filter and an Oil Filter, apart from the dealer.

I don't really want to use aftermarket parts.

You do know that Mercedes don’t make the parts don’t you?!

There are aftermarket and aftermarket parts however.....

£300 is about right to drop the pan replace the filter and pilot bush and drain the TC, refill will take almost 8 litres of ATF so not a small job and a lift out of action for 2-3 hours

Right, oil/filter change, air filter change no problem.

Cabin filter change, fiddley but still within my capabilities.

Fuel filter and ATF change - too old now, Oh to be 20 years younger.

Monarch have quoted £119 for a fuel filter change.

I get all my genuine parts off mb dealers on ebay.

That said I bought a genuine fuel filter a few weeks back. But then I found out who actually made it, and the manufacturer's part number, and could have got it a tenner cheaper, the exact same part just without an MB logo.

Is yours diesel? I did mine on a 646 diesel engine, the filter is on top. I fitted the new one then used a suction pump to pull fuel through it from the tank. It was fairly easy.

That said, it is a smelly job even if you're careful so next time I might let someone else do it. Fuel filter was only 30 quid.

Yup, diesel, I thought it was under the rear seats...

MB grangemouth . Mention the forum for up to 30% discount . They deliver for £5 .

Here or E-Bay.

Mann make most of the filters so ECP sell them as excellent prices

Interestingly when I was looking 18 months ago there wasnt a Haynes for the W204. Now there is. And I've just ordered one. Even if I don't use it that much I still like reading them.
