R230 CD Changer

Hi

My 6 CD Changer in my R230 SL 2004 Will not eject. It makes the sound as if it is,I have done all the usual things to try and free it including shouting at it but it wont budge

Any ideas folks?

Sounds like it's either got s disc jammed or faulty. I suspect you'll. Need to remove the unit.

I had same problem and as suggested by Malcolm I removed and replaced fuse and it sorted itself out. Certainly worth a try.

It's a common problem. Press the eject button and at the same time give the cartridge a sharp rap or two with the handle of a screwdriver or similar . Keep doing it and the cartridge will pop out. It's a problem with the lube in the player drying out.

Glad it is sorted, I found like most things it pays to use it and eject cartridge often. Good excuse to change CDs! I bought two spare cartridges and am constantly changing for new CDs I buy? Search part no. on cartridge and search on eBay for a spare!

Ah yes the old shouting at it method. Use it frequently:)
