Hi, I've decided to try and wrap the rear chrome on the boot lid. I've found these two and am thinking the that gloss finish would be ok.
Has anyone else wrapped before? and if so is it as easy as YouTube makes out.
If this goes on well I will look at doing door trims and front day driving lights.

Matte: https://www.wrapdirect.com/matte-black-vinyl-wrap-with-adt/

The plan would be to do the boot first to see how it goes.

Vtaylor has it on his.

Not a fan of wrap in any shape or form. Bet you will be peeling it of in a couple of years, that is if it hasn't peeled of anyway. Personally on a black car I like to see a bit of chrome. All black to me just says "Drug Dealer" :(

How about carbon?

Each to their own but I don't like that either. These things always look better exactly as they are supposed to be in my mind :)

Fairly easy to do , especially in this Heat it should go on a treat.
Just take your time, cut the wrap just slightly bigger than you need, and find a tool of some sort to tuck the wrap behind the chrome.
I used a blunt knife, it took me a couple of attempts but I am pleased with the results.

Give it a try , i carbon wrapped the set of mirrors on my ZX12r. I wasted more than i used for the finished article but was pretty chuffed with myself regarding the finished product. The shape of the mirrors did not make it easy but the bit of trim you are covering should be pretty straight forward. Just buy decent stuff as with most things , you get what you pay for.

Nothing ventured nothing gained , hot air gun and a sharp craft knife and away you go.
