'68 E220 estate Premium Plus, Command Online with Virtual Cockpit, soft close doors and full ceramic
Hi, my partner is looking to order a new car any day now and I'd just like options on if anything is missing that she should add?

She has picked SE red as she wouldn't really use awd and likes the softer ride on se plus leather rather than the half and half of the amg line. Colour silver with black and adding premium plus and command online. Do you think she would be wise adding anything else or removing anything? Thanks in advance.

That should work very nicely
Does the premium plus pack include night vision?

Hi, no it doesn't but it does include the lights that don't dazzle others while staying on high beam. Does this model have any known issues we should be aware of? Also what is the real world mpg? Thanks

Airmatic?
Thanks, would love it having had 3 s classes and currently an a8 with air suspension but £2k is a bit hard to justify, and I wouldn't really want to loose space in the glovebox from the air fresheners!

Intelligent Light System - bit pricey but worth it

Wide cockpit display
ILS is part of the premium plus package and wide cockpit now comes bundled with command, it is however something I think the car needs so it would have been picked if it wasn't a bundle now.

I take it you have the ILS? Tbh the main reason for picking premium plus over premium was more down to thinking the standard speakers were pretty dire so we wanted the upgraded system. Didn't really think too much about the lights, although we have used a 7 series with a similar led light system that was impressive.

I love the combination but it will be used for airport transfers so the leather could be harder to keep on top of, also I think I'm correct in thinking if the red gets scratched it's not as simple as getting a mobile painter to come and sort it?

360' Camera and comfort seats although they've changed the name on them now (it gives air bolsters in the seat back)
SE is much more comfortable than AMG Line - stick with standard wheels as well as again much more comfortable.

I can't see the comfort seats, or any upgrade for them? The 360' camera seems to be part of the remote parking pack which I liked the look of, particularly that you seem to be able to use your mobile as the key, do you have this and does it work?

Yes I do and it is impressive, certainly a feature I would want again

They've changed a lot of the options for the 2018 model year, I had a late 2016 E220 SE. The 360' camera is great, the remote parking is a gimick
Just checked and what was comfort seats is now standard as the 4 way lumbar support.

Did you use your mobile as the key also or is that a new thing?

A new thing.

Depending upon how you're financing your new E220 "Drivethedeal" have some amazing offers going through - I've seen brand new saloons for just less than £30K and brand new estates for £34K all as special offers - you can build your own car on there and they'll email you a cost but the special offers have been less than I've seen second hand ones at dealers. My E220SE was so good I'd buy one with my own money if I was in the market for a 4 door saloon (or estate). I used to regularly get 83mpg average on a long motorway trip.

My father used www.carwow.co.uk, got 9% discount straight away and negotiated a bit more on a brand new BMW X1

Thanks for all the help. We actually used Ethos and are using Mercedes finance, they were about £1200 less than anyone else at around £35500 including premium plus, command online and iridium silver. Just need to see how long it'll be now! I'm guessing second half of September?
