Hi
Am having all wheels refurbed and car going to be on stands for 3 days, does the air susp. need to be disabled. I heard there is a switch somewhere in the boot ?
Also if leaving the car for 3 months does it need to be put on stands
Thanks for any help & advice

No need to do anything.
I wouldn't leave it on stands for three months, just put 50psi in all the tyres.

Also it's not air suspension, it's hydraulic.

That depends how hydraulic it stays over the 3 months! ;)
Yeah it may drop but it should lift straight back up. If you do put it on blocks put the blocks under the suspension arms so they aren't hanging on full drop.

Also if leaving the car for 3 months connect a trickle charger to the consumer battery.

Hi, on a slightly different note does anyone know if on a 2005 sl55 the power steering pump also serves the ABC system?

Yes it's a tandem pump (two pumps in a single assembly sharing a common reservoir).

Thanks my sl55 has been stood for a few months and the suspension has dropped after a fluid leak, MB says its the "O" rings on the pump and want £1000 to replace them!

If it leaking from the pump sounds more or less right. If the pumps not leaking soundscape bit odd.

Been there done that, but didn't cost that much, be cheaper through an Indy ;)

It was recovered to main dealer and to recover it to an indy would cost also. Does anyone know if a new pump comes with the 4 "O" rings as I may as well replace the pump because when the fluid was low it was ticking and I don't want to have it rebuild after the "O" ring job and then have it stripped again to replace the pump

If it's been fun for any length of time with low/no oil just replace the pump. The pump can become terminally damaged if run without oil.

All ABC cars will drop when sat for 3 months, that is normal.

O rings that leak are inside the front and rear valve blocks, and are not part of the pump.

O rings on the pump will cause fluid all over the place and poor pump performance, which will give red ABC warnings etc.
