Isn't this something to do with Cassie's Law ?

Gets my vote,
Also...............
I'd like to see some of the elderly drivers drug tested as well,
they can be taking a crap load of prescriptions and be zonked out of it behind the wheel.
Problem is roadside drug tests are limited to certain class A and B type drugs rather than prescription so blood tests become necessary...

I'd like them to stop people driving vehicles where they can hardly see over the steering wheel. It can't be safe!

But it's fashionable to have the seat slammed into the weeds (along with the suspension) and the seat back almost horizontal. How's the Corsa* pilot supposed to look cool cruising Maccy D's if he can't get the look right?

*Citroen Saxo's and Fiesta ST wannabes also available.

I have a prescription windscreen.

This works really well and will help any visually impaired driver pass the twenty meter test.

But some have found difficulty locating their car once they have walked a few meters away from it.

Ah, Siri sorts that for me!

Looking through the windows is over-rated. If you gaze at the person in the car with you, or are otherwise distracted, nearby motorists swiftly move aside to let you through. Some of them toot their horns in a cheery greeting, while others do victory signs to you in admiration. You quickly realise that you have many friends out there. Some of them try to catch you up, hoping to engage you in conversation, but it's best to keep the doors locked and windows wound up tight - some people become overly familiar in such circumstances.

Over-reaction on the media caused my wife to get quite worried about this - despite the fact that she has prescription glasses and always wears them when driving! Took a while to convince her that so far it's not being trialled in our area, and even if it was she'd have no problem reading a number plate at 25 yards with her glasses on!

I wear prescription glasses and have since I got my licence 55 years ago, but I now find my eyesight has changed for the better and distant vision is good enough to meet the standard for a commercial pilot. The problem is convincing our licencing authority that it is good enough to drive a car without glasses, so I just wear glasses (multi-focal) with plain glass for the distant vision part. Just another case of the bureaucracy knowing better than the experts!

So I'll fly the gliders without glasses and put them on to drive.

I just want to see the look on the copper's face when he asks them to perform the sight test and they root about in their bag for their glasses first.
