Tuning a C350 Sport Ed125 Cdi

Hi guys,

I want some advice on tuning my new Mercedes which I love, I have been looking into the simple remap or a tuning chip. These apparently can get the car to around 310bhp..

Is there anything else on top of this that can be done which isn't too costly which can give me some good performance results?

tuning chip ? you mean a tuning box surely ? get a proper remap done by a reputable tuner like GAD or MSL , fit a panel filter and enjoy the extra go

Definitely get the car properly remapped if you can. There's not much to choose cost wise between that and a good tuning box anyway. Secondly, at 300bnp and around 700 torques from a stage 1, do you really need to be pushing it any more?

Mine was done by GAD, very happy with the results

Can't be done, no-one makes a replacement filter for the OM642 in that guise.

Yer I did look into the filter upgrade but @JBell is correct they don't do them. I have got a quote off MSL for a stage one and dyno run so I will probably just do that. As the last thing I want to do is push it too far and mess up my gearbox.

I read somewhere that even if K&N made one they would do little in performance, which I thought was odd.

I had one fitted to car that I purchased second hand, and the chap also gave me the air box and bits in the boot. After a while of running with the bespoke filter I re-fitted the standard box, guess what? No difference apart from losing that induction noise.

but that doesn't mean the filter didn't make any a difference pal , just means you could not feel it
