What do you currently have fitted?
These units can be easy to fit if they come with adapter cables etc.
There are some very good Android units coming out of China that are custom designed to fit various Mercedes which might worth a look too.

It's NTG2.5 Audio 20 (or is it Audio 50? - but I don't see the NAV button?), with a built-in 6x CDC.

If you want to replace it, have a look at these:

a very similar layout to OEM:

or, a more modern appearance (and no moving parts, i.e. DVD player, so it runs cooler):

I have an older version (less RAM and previous version of Android) of the latter unit in my car - I fitted it myself, over a year ago, and it's been perfect so far (the shape is obviously slightly different, as these are model-specific, but the great thing about this approach, is that, there's no need for frames, adapters, etc):

I bought mine from the seller in the first listing above - a UK-based Erisin outlet, with returns, warranty, etc all handled locally.
The second seller is just a different eBay name for the same store.

I'm liking very much the 2nd option. To be fair, I keep a lot of music on my phone & simply stream it to the system in my Berlingo, so am happy to do the same in the car. I'm not too fussed on "solid" media, just clutters up the place. Hmm, any suggestions on tools I'll need to invest in? I've poked around, but damned if I can find access to remove the current unit!! Incidentally, think you've done a sterling job with yours, looks bang on.

Thanks :)

It's an old car (2006 reg, build Oct 2005), and I wanted a bit more modern feel and features (as I can't afford a newer car) ...

These units (and I have to say, their reliability could be hit and miss, but then the price is nowhere near brand names, like Alpine) give you a few options: 2 or 3 USB ports, including one on the front of the unit - I actually have a 32GB USB flash drive plugged in - see the bottom left corner - hardly noticeable, I think. The other ports I routed to the glove box, and to the power socket tray, so can plug in a flash drive there too.

Going to add a CarPlay adapter very soon, but I'm perfectly happy with the interface as it is, and music streaming works fine too.

If you PM me your VIN, I can pull WIS pages on HU removal, etc. I know for the 169/245 there are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to remove the "radio", probably the same (if not more) for your model too.

It is pretty simple to remove the radio once you see a video. There are plenty for the w203 which is the same process.

I'll check out the videos' & see what I can find. Cheers all. However, need to see why my engine management light has just lit up on my dash, so new head unit might be on the back burner......it never rains but it pours......!!
