On a journey heading north (that's uphill!) on the A19.

Not bad for a 6.2 V8.

I think you're probably right, I went to see my friendly tyre man today and he said I could get another couple of thousand miles out of the rears; I replaced them 22,000 miles ago.

Pictures like this make me get my man math calculator out. Not because I'd get a C63 to drive it like a nun all the time, but I'd get 23p per mile for fuel from work for a >2.1 litre petrol engine.

29mpg works out at 20p a mile (I think). God I'd love one.

Go on then, I'll bite. :)

Similar distance, similar average speed but slightly more frugal: -

Mileage.jpg

It's averaged just under 25mpg since it was last reset around 1,800 miles ago, so not too shabby really.

Can I play or is a hybrid considered cheating?
I've had 58 on a longish run when it wasn't all bunged up but I don't have as picture.
Frankly it does better mpg than the bike...

Not too bad, but it's only a small engine :geek:

My average over the last 4500 miles is 22.3

On a longish journey one can get quite a good average and then just one little blast of the throttle can bring the figure right down. (that's when a BMW 320 is right up your chuff and he has to be shown who's boss)

I’m not playing this game - it’s rather embarrasing!

I manage about 35mpg give or take in my 2.0 W202. My last car (a 1.8l Ford, same year) would struggle to get 30mpg! I’m not complaining!!!
