Seems Vettel has again shot his championship chances in the foot with a three second grid penalty for failing to slow for red flags during practice.

Ferrari might show their true pace again at this week's US race, but the inevitable writing is on the wall - even if it takes a couple more races for Lewis and Toto to wrap things up.

Awesome drive by Kimi, well deserved win
Even more awesome drive by Verstappen!
Started 18th finished 2nd and was almost able to challenge for the lead.
He's a definite future champion.

Was a big mistake by Merc not to pit Hamilton when he would have come out ahead of Verstappen. He could have then gone for the lead and in all honesty had he come out only 3 or so secs behind Kimi I think he would have gotten past him.

Just hope Mercedes don’t implode now like McLaren did in 2007. Unlikely and the title should be wrapped up next Sunday. But this is F1!

Awesome drive by Verstappen and great defensive work by Kimi to hold Hamilton up before his pit stop.

Merc thought the soft tyre would last, Pirelli put the min rear pressures up by 1.5psi before the race which led to them degrading faster.

I doubt the will, he only needs 7 points from 3 races

And Verstappen's latest drive only bolsters my feeling that, with a much improved (new) Honds unit next year, Red Bull will shade Mercedes, and give Ferrari a beating too.

Reckon the Honey Badger has done an Alonso, and left at the wrong time.

Apparently there is an entirely new Renault engine for next year so let's see what happens

HAAS have signed "Rich Energy" as title sponsors from 2019, Rich wanted to buy Force India.

I think HAAS have got the business model bang on, so much so STR will do the same and use all the parts allowed from the RB car from next year.

They've just messed up the least amount of times, they can't keep getting all the good luck. I was happy that Kimi one this one, it might be his last.

Awesome result for Dan Dare. Glad he pipped Vercrashem as he needs to have a bit of his youthful arrogance knocked back a peg or two every now and then.

Good result for Lewis as he’s in prime position to hopefully avoid any squabbling with the Redbull’s at turn one and get past.

Should hopefully be a good race.

^ Did you see the attitude on MV in the post quali interview with DC?
DR really p1ssed on his chips outqualifying him and all he could do was moan about the car.

As above, if Lewis can avoid any collision at the first corner he will get the points he needs.

Get in Lewis. A British 5 time world champion.

Such a shame for Dan Dare. Guy can’t get a break this year.
