w220 when I select easy entry on the menu the steering wheel moves away find but seat does not move.
While the option is there I assume the seat should slide back.
Apart from a broken wire is there any common fault know for this.

My W204 only moves the steering wheel for easy exit. I was expecting it to move the seat but it never has, do some models move the seat and others not?

Do you have the seat option come up on dash menu.

Only an easy entry/exit option, no mention of seats.
Mine has the full memory pack with the 3 saves so I see no reason why it shouldn't do the seat but thought it was in case of rear passengers.
At least with the memory option you need to keep your finger on the button until the position is reached, so a yell from behind would cause you to immediately let go of the button.
If it was linked to the easy exit, it would do the full amount of auto travel, however far that may be and so possibly the seats are not active from a safety point of view.

Same for my 212 with Multi contor seats, just the steering wheel that moves, very different to my pug where the seat moved but the steering wheel didn't

The W220 and W215 should move the seat.

Actually, to be more accurate I can choose to turn the feature off (which I prefer) or have the steering column move only or the steering column and the seat.

As Matt my 212 only moves the wheel, my 230 moved both
Different strokes I’d say.....

The video is a 2006 or 2007 car, I wonder if they had complaints from rear seated passengers getting knees crushed and removed the easy entry/exit seat option on later cars, unless it's still an option on some Mercedes models?

If the seat is already set at full recline, it won't go back any further anyway.
Also, possibly a broken wire in the n/s boot hinge area.
Fitting a new GPS antenna earlier this year I had to strip out the hinge cover and found broken wires. After repairing them, my easy entry was working again. I hadn't even noticed it had stopped:p

I had a clk and it seat didn’t move and star showed faulty wire , I removed the seat brought it in the house stripped back the wires and 2 were rubbed , repaired them and it worked a treat. Although seat might be harder to remove on a 4 door.

On mine, only the steering wheel moves. I have just read the relevant part of the Manual and it only mentions the steering wheel, not the seats. I had assumed the seat didn’t move because I’ve got long legs and have it quite a long way back anyway.
