Hi All,

Sorry for the delay with this, I've been unwell so haven't had the time to post or even get out any enjoy the car! See below the print out from my GAD remap. Very happy with the result!

That’s a steep torque improvement.

Is it’s possible to have a 1/2nd gear torque limit on these?

Hi - sorry for the old thread - but did you start with a 231bhp / 540nm car?

Do you mean the blue and red stock numbers?

Because my 231 / 540nm car produced those stock on a dyno run recently before a remap, which is why I was asking

I would say that is a high reading dyno for sure

Many thanks indeed

Yes, I haven’t seen many like that either and I’ve spent many days trawling through dyno results from different remappers.

My post remap numbers were not that high, though, which is odd if the car were so ‘healthy’ or if the dyno was overly optimistic. Relatively respectable end result for a 231bhp E350 but not a before/after that I’d seen before.

Stock 248.4bhp / 577nm
Tuned 280.7bhp / 677.8nm

But, it’s done now…

Those mapped numbers are surprising.

Indeed… I have a buddy with a 265bhp E350 and he had a similar result:

Stock: 269bhp / 662nm
Tuned: 295bhp / 695nm - they said they limit it just under 700 and could have squeezed more out

However he was on winter tyres which is known to sap ~10% power - though I find it hard to believe he’d be running over 700nm stock on summer tyres…

Other tunes from the company (posted on Instagram) show relatively spot on figures for other cars when stock, so I don’t have a particular reason to doubt the dyno (vtech).

Maybe I’ll get mine on another RR one day, but I’m not going to pay £100 for the privilege… I guess I’ll just have to enjoy the remap as it is!

My car was the "265" quoted BHP variety - although prior to having the map done I had been battling some DPF issues which could have lead to the first reading being down. However could not be happier with the result, the torque offers incredible pulling power especially noticeable from around the 60mph mark if you need to put your foot down. As an added bonus if driven on a run and 'sensibly' I get more MPG than stock also.

It’s a shame I couldn’t go the GAD route. I realised that that reason my mapped 231bhp still feels slower around town and in traffic than my dads stock 265bhp is because the my map barely has any extra torque before 2000rpm, which is where you live in city driving. As such, even if my car has more peak torque, the 265 that I drive occasionally feels like a ‘lighter’ car. It’s nice on the motorway though…

Oh well…

The torque curve on your car looks great, congrats

My 231 hit spot on the standard figures on GAD tunings dyno.

Mapped it made 300hp and 750nm.
The shove when you boot it is staggering and relentless.
I really recommend them, great service.
