Apparently every bill is 4 figures :D

Defo pop up, if you need new boots sure Ray can sort on problem, go for PS4 or Eagle Assy 6.

Seems we both drive BMW now
I blame you!!! :D

MPS4S seems favoured, also read Dunlop Sport Maxx (R?) work well on.them as a daily driver.

Yokohama Advan come up at a good price, too, but don't have much knowledge running Yokos.

I can't be held accountable ;)

Not sure the PS4S is a good "Daily" tyre, PS4 is much more for daily driving particularly with the crappy weather we have. Dunlop Sport MAXX are well regarded and very quite, I have Goodyear Assy 6 on the front on my Merc and really rate them, they also have massive Rim Protectors on

Perfick!

I'm still reeling from the fact that this is costing me a chunk less to insure than the 2015 Disco Sport, and that I can now drive through Bristol ULEZ zone FOC!

Ridiculous isn't it but LR Insurance on all models is ridiculous ATM, saw a family having to sell their New Defender as the company cancelled their insurance at £2200 a year and the new quotes were £10k so they sold it and lost £15k on the car as well!!!!!

We bought the X1 as it's petrol so we have one of each so long journeys can be done in the Merc and anything that involves ULEZ will be in the BMW.

285/30R20 are heavy old lumps, aren't they?

Spent the day tidying up the alloys, getting some Chemical Guys Wheel Guard on them; cleaned & treated calipers, too (as best I could), and gave the hub centres a bit of a scrub & copper grease.

Am kippered now!

Also miles switched to KM's a few times in it's history
Speedo is in k's, some Mot people put it down as miles

Government have written my campervan off, with there stupid laws on headlights, RHD headlights can't be purchased, however if you have RHD headlights, they can be exchanged!!! I can't even use the stickers now.
Half the day wasted trying to find RHD headlights. I'd have more luck finding a Unicorn :(
So now I am going to look at an alternative headlight units that will be fairly close to the dimension's as the brand new LHD ones I fitted.
Means a bit of fabrication. Toyota Hilux have similar measurements, but doubt it will get done within the 10 days of free retest
If any nice Mercedes people have some RHD Peugeot, Fiat, Talbot, Citroen headlights sitting about.............Can I buy beg or borrow please :D
I've welded the small 50p hole int he exhaust and fixed the fog light, cleaned the contacts and working :)

Peter, what van is it? How about a pair of kit car headlamp units bolted in place? Might look hideous for a day.......

Might be a lot of faffing about fitting them Mike. What I might well end up doing is getting a pair of square units complete with the backing to fit.
Isuzu Trooper, Hillman Avenger.
Might end up with these yet, look promising, just need to measure up my lamps.
Headlight Headlamp Assembly 2 Units Mahindra Bolero Tata 407, these are on Ebay.

Have you tried the below? I had a few bits from them when I had a Talbot Motorhome. Very good to deal with.

Thanks Rus, Yes I have purchased parts off them before, they usually now deal in new or remanufactured parts.
That's where I got the new headlights from. Like all of them, RHD lights are all exchange. It is just the lens that's different.
I'm waiting for a caravan breaker in Scotland to get back to me who may have some. (apparently he has a few Mercedes cars of his own)

Got the Soft 99 Fusso wax on this afternoon... not sure how it'll fair on top of the dealer-applied Protect-X, but figure it's another sacrificial layer before tomorrow's cross-country (and no doubt cack-ridden) road-trip!

Interesting day. Apparently LHD headlights are legal here if they have a mask ie stickers or another form of bean reducer.
Vosa quoted the mot manual 4.1.2
Retest booked for Tuesday.
Let's wait and see how it turns up.

My Vw t25 1986) is a left hooker. on older cars (non fancy headlamps) they are marked where to mask.
Black duck tape on. cut to shape with a blade. no issue.
