Bought some Tornado Red paint to do a couple of niggly bits on the Up! But I'll wait for the warmer weather.
Got a dilemma I'd like some thoughts on please.
It's not my car but I have good use from it so feeling a little responsible for the upkeep.
It's a 2013 and has done 23,000 miles. It has a normal toothed cambelt.
To change it will cost around £400 and I can't decide if it should be done or not.
What do you think?

It used to be normal to change around 70k mark, but given belt is getting on for 11yrs old, I’d replace it. £400 is a lot cheaper than a replacement car if it lets go..

Rubber degrades with age as well as use - £400 or gamble on a replacement engine ;)

My Sis-In-Law has one, loves it... drives really well, ULEZ exempt and peanuts to run otherwise.

If the car meets requirements, I'd say its £400 well spent and peace of mind for another 6yrs / 60k miles.

I would echo the above comments for peace of mind suggesting to go halves with the owner, shows commitment both ways and leaves less of a bad feeling if the car gets sold after the next Mot.

Got the Soft 99 Fusso wax on this afternoon... not sure how it'll fair on top of the dealer-applied Protect-X, but figure it's another sacrificial layer before tomorrow's cross-country (and no doubt cack-ridden) road-trip!
I have tried this recently on my rx8. The black version. So far so good but removal was tough after only 3 minutes drying time.

Same stuff here Alex - used it on the black Landy and now grey ***. The trick seems to be very lightly dampened applicator sponge and very minimal/thin layer. Work in approx 2ft.sq sections and buff off after a minute or so.

So far... OK. Only did a light decon on the Landy bonnet (but no polish) - was very happy with the results (shine, beading, ease of washing cack off).

Yes I agree. I ended up putting way too much on, quickly learned that less is more. Especially in comparison to the collinite I usually use.

Called the breakdown services for the first time in my 41 years of driving as the Cayenne sprung a coolant leak from an aluminium hose just below the expansion tank.

AA (via Porsche) arrived at 21.00 to start the ball rolling regarding the repair at the main dealer , we will now see how the "fully inclusive" AUC warranty works out.

Waiting on the MD calling regarding getting it in for repair and picking up my 911 Turbo S (or Corsa) courtesy car .

Both sides, I knew she was needed a patch, but 4 on each side
When you see a tiny bit of flaky underseal, be prepared o_O

I said similar to a neighbour who asked if I could put a couple of patches on his LDV van the Mot tester had marked with the dreaded yellow crayon. This was the main patch to tie everything back together after repairing the bodged accident damage that caused the rot......

Ordered a wee tracking thingy for the new wonder wagon... just as a it of extra peace of mind.

Along with the remote-operated underseat-claymore option I requested.
