Hiya

i am new to Mercedes and have a 2004 slk 200
it has had a nocia car phone installed from factory but cant seem to get my iPhone 7 to connect
is there a way i can do this also can my music be played via Bluetooth
i don't want to bolt on a parrot type devise as the car is immaculate and as new.

Hello and welcome! Does the Nokia phone sit in a cradle in the armrest, is it a 6310 or something similar? If so you'll likely need a Viseeo MB-3 or MB-4 adaptor to replace it, around £150 and gives seamless iphone integration, even Siri works using the phone dial buttons on the dash. Comandonline as John says are the guys to speak to- they're the experts.

If you look on eBay for those bluetooth adapters they are about £100. The old nokia one will unclip from the port.

Hi Heather,

I am assuming your SLK is the R171 version rather than the earlier R170. 2004 could be either!

The Mercedes HFP is the better bet for your iphone as the viseeo products are no longer in production. The Nokia cradle unclips by pressing the recessed button on the face of it and sliding it down with the button depressed. This reveals the UHI contact plate. The HFP will clip onto that. You can then pair your iphone to it.

Sadly this will not give you bluetooth music streaming. Only phone. The Viseeo MB3 used to offer music aswell but this was via FM re-transmission which isnt great.

If you donT have, or are happy to lose, a CD changer then a better bet might be a Fiscon Pro system instead. Its more expensive but it will give you fully integrated phone and also music streaming via bluetooth.
