C Class Drivers seat spliting!

Hi
Mercedes C class sport saloon 2007

Has anyone had similar problems?
Drivers seat upholstery split 2013
Mercedes C Class 2007 low (retired) mileage.
Upholstery AMG option
MB replaced seat for several hundred £s !
Now 2017 Once again upholstery splitting (same area)

Considered factors - BMI (height/weight) near perfect
Car only used for leisure and convenience.
Kept in A1 condition

Is there a special way of getting into this car that differs from
any other car on the road?!

Yes. My 2007 R Class's crappy Artico split too in a similar place. I had a repaired by a local automotive upholsterer for £100. He came & removed the seat and returned it repaired less than 24 hours later.

That's poor! I've had Artico in the past which has been OK but some of it is absolutely dreadful!

Why do Mercedes carry on with anything that can split in such any life and do nothing about it.

Its shocking stuff, just so many complaints.

This may be a stupid question but you've given me cause for concern now. On my cars build sheet it says 728A - LEATHER COMBINATION - GRAY. there is no way that is Artico is there ?

It's ARTICO, even though it says 728A - LEATHER COMBINATION - GRAY on the build sheet. On closer inspection there are small splits in the drivers seat base !! A bit disappointing to say the very least. Future buyers beware !!

Good god Andy, that is shocking and I'm still stunned- it clearly states "Leather" that's trade description IMO
