Haha, spot on, it had been elsewhere for a service, incorrect oil filter fitted and this. No wonder those in the know suck the oil out. What were mercs thinking, heat, brittle plastic sump and a tight sump plug, a recipe for a disaster.

Exactly why i bought an oil sucker after trying to drain the oil on my W204 - took the undertray off, saw it was a plastic sump.. thought, nope. Bought a sucker haha!

How much are those sumps to replace out of interest?

silly money no doubt , germans are world renowned for engineering prowess , the plastic sump was a day off from afore mentioned lol
