I was behind one the other day .... but didn't note the specific model. Behind another/same one again today & noted the 'e'
What I'd noticed was the large palm sized panel above the small panel where the tow loop attaches ..... Is that where you plug them in?
NB I know nothing about what makes them hybrid .... i.e. like a Prius or more like Mitsubishi PHEV?

It is indeed where you plug them in and yes a little like the PHEV in that they are petrol electric unlike the Prius and Tesla which have no combustion motor

My mate has one. He gets about 14 miles on a charge so it's a bit of a sop to electric motors really. I get more to the gallon out of my E220 than he does out of his C350e.

Yip, nonsense really. One of my fellow directors here is just changing his BMW 530d for a 530e- downside is a little less performance (not much) and 4 pots not 6- upside it's a company car and will save him a staggering £400 per month in personal tax!! Range 19 miles on electric. Will he really plug it in? Unlikely very often I'm sure. He lives 80 miles from the office....

Thanks. :geek:

I do really likebthe idea of th a Vauxhall Ampera ..... about 60 miles per charge & the petrol engine is purely to charge the batteries. Price of the possible replacement batteries puts me off.

That and it being a Vauxhall!

I've had a series of Vauxhalls ..... Cavalier Coupe, Manta Coupe, Carlton, 2x Senators & an Omega ..... they had loads of stuff as standard unlike the huge option lists that go with otherwise stark Mercedes. I'd buy another but they're all front wheel drive. ;)

Like you I have had Vauxhalls in my long distant past which included a few Cavaliers. My recollection of the Cavalier was that it actually was a pretty good car for its day. The other one was the Vauxhall 3.0i 24v Senator which was grossly underrated !!
