A new solution to a very common issue with chrome/chrome effect metal window trim on many modern cars which turns milky and dull after washing. The same problem also afflicts roof bars.

The Hindsight Window Trim & Roof Bar Kit will swiftly polish up trim on many models, including Audi, BMW, Mercedes and more, and includes a polymer-enriched protective coating to apply after to help prevent recurrence.

The product is economical, a little goes a very long way.

Its an entirely manual process so doesn't need a polishing machine nor professional application. The Kit includes 2 applicators and a soft microfibre cloth.

Professional / dealer sized kits are available on application.

Have this exact problem on the Pug, the roof bars are awful after only 3 1/2 years, I'll certainly be ordering some after we get the final bill bout the wife's refurb'd gearbox

I dont think it does take long for this to appear, sadly. It seems pretty widespread.

I got this off another forum some time ago but it's worth trying. Use a little WD-40 on a bit of kitchen roll - wipe over the strips and then wipe off after with a dry bit of kitchen roll. Worked fine for me. Cheap as chips solution if it works for you.

Note: it may not take all the tarnish off but it improved mine enormously (5 years + tarnish)

Will work for a time , but only hide it till the next time it rains ,,then back to normal .I have even used clear coat on them .Polish them first , then wipe over with a cleaner , then spray clear coat on the trim .This way they will last years .
