There are actually two Willenhalls near Birmingham. One is Coventry and the other is Wolverhampton, and I would say that neither is exactly near Birmingham.

But you still haven't told us which Willenhall. CV or WV postcode?

If it helps, there is a website called Shiply. There may be others. You register for free and then state your requirements. From/to. Weight. Dimensions, etc, and the independent Couriers 'bid' for the job. It normally takes 4 or 5 days before you start getting 'sensible' quotes.

You haven't stated what the item is but, if it were a body panel, then I would definitely look for an Independent. I have seen how the main players, with their Hubs, treat their customers items. It gets collected by van. Taken to a Hub. Then thrown into an artic trailer to be trans-shipped to another Hub. Then thrown off the trailer, and then, assuming an additional interim Hub/journey isn't involved, goes into a van for final delivery, possibly not in the condition that it was first collected.

Not really. I work in cov and could do the cov willenhall (if I wasn't on holiday), but I wouldn't go to wolverhampton as it's a long way away.

I don't think that the OP, living in [as stated] Lincolnshire, appreciates that in the Urban Environment of the West Midlands, that the journey between Willenhall, Coventry, and Willenhall, Wolverhampton, even on a good day, would be the best part of two hours.

Haha I live in wolvo and been working in coventry by the Rico arena ,it's not that far mate can do it in 45 mins -60 mins ,might be bit longer on way back due to traffic but not that bad

If you do use a courier, just to let you know I have had nothing but bad experiences with My Hermes!!
They lost a R129 remote roof opener and lost at least 3 other parcels, so I've even resorted to asking ebay sellers which company they are using to ship before buying anything!

I too have had many bad experiences with them, though it is amazing though if you use the 'insurance' they offer, no parcel has gone missing.......Funny that. I now charge a bit on top for postage now, otherwise it Royal Mail, though they too can lose parcels.
Myhermes are all automated at their depot's
