From memory, 125 in South Scotland Police spot check. He was fined £1000 and 12 months ban.

He's inside according to the article linked above. Maybe he hasn't earned enough good behaviour points to warrant internet forum usage rights in clink. Very argumentative character on several forums including non motoring ones. Perhaps he's on something chemical

Some of the high performance ones get taken into police custody and used by Traffic Department. At one point, I think it was West of Scotland Division that were using an S4 that had been detained from a drugs dealer. Cheap source of vehicles.

I know even some very 'ordinary' (often surprising) vehicles are adopted by HMRC for surveillance purposes, I think it's accounted for under the 'proceeds of crime' statutes.
