2001 CL500 Dash clocks and lights stopped working, fuse?

Hello all, as above and the headlights on even though the switch is off, I have done a search for the fuses and it tells me that F79, f84 &f 85 are the cluster fuses located in the cockpit, anyone know where this box is located, Im aware of the two under bonnet ones and the back seat but i cant locate the fourth.
If the fuses turn out to be OK, can the cluster be repaired at home?

Sometimes there is a fourth at one end of the dash...but usually not.

Yes you are right , I think 2002 and later had, so anyone know the location of the dash fuses for a 2001 model?

Off the top of my head, right side in front of the A/C box.

If I discover that the cluster is faulty, can a secondhand one be swapped without star diagnostics ?

Sorry, don't think so. The cluster combimeter contains odometer data.

Ahh yes I see, lets hope its just a blown fuse then.

In your toolkit you should have a fuse chart which will also tell you the location.

Just out of interest, was the fuse in the location described by Craiglxviii?

The charts say F78 to F86 should be in the end of dash but if you don't have that then how are they distributed?

I also have an early CL and would like to know where the fuses are scattered when you don't have the end of dash fuse boxes.

Hi Alex, they were in the passenger side box under the bonnet, midway there are three 5A fuses together, I dont have an under dash fuse box and I think 78&85 refer to this location in later cars. I think the fuses are 19,20&21, couldnt really see as I hadn't my specs on, just going from what I googled.

The 2001 W215 has 3 fuse boxes, 2 in engine bay - aft Left and Right, and one under the rear offside seat.
