W126 sec500

My 1990 sec was serviced by John Haynes a few weeks ago, they advised I needed new discs and calipers , just had a call from them, Mercedes advised they no longer stock the calipers and are not re-manufacturing, any advice please where I might obtain these or is this a pointer that one should sell due to lack of genuine spares, I really love this car.

When I used to have that very same car, I used to get parts from "German and Swedish". They are now known as GSF car parts.
Worth a try!

They will refurb your calipers, and can upgrade your brake pistons to stainless / powdercoat etc as you wish.

I can highly recommend the chap who did my calipers for my W215. Chap called Gaz Watson who does a lot in Subaru circles but does other stuff too.

Top bloke and I think he does postage stuff as well.

This is how they looked originally. Not bad, and the one on the right was NOS, so basically brand new. But Gaz rebuilds them with new seals and inspects everything and then powdercoats them whatever colour you want.
