Probably not if it’s like my household - I end up paying for them all anyway!

I went with Admiral this year after 15+ years with More Than who could always get the renewal price close to where it was the previous year.

This year MT were 40% more expensive than Admiral and would not budge , so i did - to another company.

I found that Admiral's Multicar was good the first year as cars were added, but were very expensive come renewal time.

We found that too, renewal quote was almost double the first year premium!

I found that but on inspection they hadn't transferred the NCB correctly when I changed cars, apparently the NCB follows the car not the driver?

In our case the cars were in my wife's name without any no claims. So to double the premium after the first year without an accident would take more than not transferring any no claims.

They are a funny lot. I was changing car, got a quote online for the new car. Admiral were the cheapest. Called them up to change to the new car Cost to change to the new car for the remaining 6 months was just over the 12 month quote. Got given some waffle about changing cars halfway through the year is an increased risk.. So I said can I cancel get the 6 months pro rata and then take up the new insurance for 12 months. Yes I can but he wouldn't recommend it as I wouldn't accrue any NCD this year. Just the 18 years then, and that's only because 3 years ago the max they recorded was 15.

Have been with Admiral Multi car for a good few years now, the renewal price is always too high in comparison, so always call them up to cancel. So far they have always agreed a price not far from the previous years.

Hoping for the same this year too, otherwise I shall jump ship.
