Nice firework displays I bet!I've seen people do exactly as you said and then they recheck the positive with the spanner again after both have been connected. D'oh!
Easy enough to do yourself. Just disconnect the earth first and reconnect it last. After you will need to reset the windows (push the button to take the window down, hold for 5 seconds then put the window up and hold for 5 seconds - repeat for all windows). The steering angle sensor will also need recalibration - just drive it and move the steering wheel more than 10 degrees left and right and the ESP/ABS lights should go out. You may need to turn off the engine then turn it back on again.
Pretty certain that's not an issue with a w205.If your radio is coded, you will have to reset that too. If you have lost the code, beware....needs to have a permanent power source connected before removing the battery.

Some older cars have a pin code on the sound systems so that if they were stolen from the car, without the pin would be useless.theft deterrent. Newer stuff is built in so doesn’t need it.yours is a new model so nothing to concern aboutThank you, but what does it mean when a radio is coded ?!
I would doubt that buddy , because any make battery can go in a Merc if it's the right specI thought I'd read somewhere that if you change the battery on a Mercedes, you have to code the battery to the car ??? Perhaps this is just for service history purposes ???
