I have acquired a 2003 C220D, which has been standing unused for years. There are no keys at all.
Is there any way I can gain access to the boot without damaging the lock?

If you have access to the interior pop the bonnet. Passenger side of the engine bay are two jump start points. Hook 12v to them (the correct way round!) and operate the internal boot release switch.

That wouldn't work. The can bus system needs to be awake. I know the solution but won't post it on here for thieves to find a way into people's boots without the key.

If you have the key it works fine. Its no different to how you'd do it if the battery was good.
