Do Continental "hand cut" any tyres for specialist cars.
Summer vs Winter debate - is it dependant on both temperatures but also equally on tyre composition and pattern.
Does the general public have any appreciation of the simple materials used within a tyre - as opposed to the...
Years ago I was actually embarrassed to go into the kiosk for a reset at the £100 limit.
I recently put £153 in the ML and did not want to post but now Uncle Benz's (sorry) has made me feel better. Conversely, clicking out at £99 without reaching a fully brimmed tank on an E Class actually...
Sensible head would say an E350/265 estate in S212 pre-facelift guise has the best of all worlds (even if it diesel and even if it is an estate ).
Heart would say a W213 E63S.
I have Purple Haze Pro for Tanzanite. Try a second coat the day after. Layers the finish to an even better level.
Massive fan of Dodo Juice waxes and mix Scarlet Fever with Orange Crush on Hyacinth.
There are better waxes for longevity at similar prices but for absolute "lift" think that Dodo...
Think this a great MB site. Invaluable, helpful and pretty well behaved. Some of the technical items are both inciteful and insightful.
Whilst some of us do not always participate due to a myriad of reasons - appreciative of those forum regulars who make this a "go to" forum.
Generally, takes me a very long time to accept a car design change. I can be fickle eg I was recently bidding on newish E400D but struggling because prefer the face-lifted car, knew that would regret buying the "old" version (luckily went for more money than I was prepared to pay).
The C Class...
May I ask based on the - no warranty on parts if no payment made............................ if original part "not fit for purpose" and replaced by a batch of those same design original parts "not fit for purpose" rather than the newer redesigned parts................and subsequent failure...
Would you happen to have details/link of this gauge PLUS if the 12V pump/inflator is highly recommended.... please share.
( Have always bought the screw on rather than lever valve fitting- as find them a much better fit).
Suspect that some of us have a real soft spot for a T5 of the "correct era". They were so under the radar until the Police started to use them. About a decade plus ago came across to Mercedes (so nearly went RS6 Avant) diesels but would never have happened if the Volvo range had not lost it's...
Used it for a long time as luckily at least 3 stores along my regular routes.
Apparently, it is up there with the best for fuel quality. Not sure if true but someone mentioned they dose on site?
This is a minor thing - but they always keep their forecourts clean and wash down daily. This will...
Many on other forums claim "no adverse effect". Personally, have seen an approximate 10% inferior return on MPG. Also notice that the car hangs onto lower gears a lot longer in the colder weather. Car/DPF regeneration is more noticeable probably due to frequency.
Have just run the numbers (as...
Interested in which type and size(s) selected in the end.
Many have a set of winter and also a set of summer wheels.
Personally,
*my winter set are nice but not nearly as nice as the summer rims thus suggest that you go basic for winter - salt, grit. muck do diamond-cut no favours
*I bought...
The 275 or 245 is the width of your tyre in mm.
Your rim will have a width also - in inches!
Tyre width needs to be mated with rim width (unless you are into VW/Audi scene). Whoever told you 245 is not he best fit on a 9.5" rim (I am guessing) has got their head screwed on. The 245 is a...
E350 7G Saloon - assume generally at 45 +/- 4 MPG between winter versus summer.
Have looked at E43/E53 but they are holding prices too well (as are all cars) in the current climate.
In my Volvo days could burn through a set of front tyres in less than 5,000 with a tweaked V70 T5 - your comment has brought a nostalgic smile to my face, Many thanks.
Are all tyre sets new?
If so, £2,500 - 3,500 is a lot of expenditure on a commuter car.
I am 65/130miles per day and run Nexen on the front with Michelin on the rear on 19's with superb results. Amazed by the Nexens.........cynical at first but good wear on an E Class,
A decent...
On my car - does not show level solely says "not full". I done the usual web seaches and no where can you see the level actually in the tank.
Later model cars can be accessed eg Mecredes Me, etc but on W212-026 suspect a oversight unless "techinicain only sub level".
