What Have You Done To Your Merc Today?

Went to take the SLC for a spin but couldn’t as I got a gearbox warning message on the dah so had to use the GLA instead! Whilst enjoyable to drive couldn’t go topless today!

    Anyone fancy a project?

This has just popped into my FB time line. Quite a few MB’s for sale, all in various states of decay so anyone want a project for this winter?

    Service history question

Back then it was stamps in a books unlike today’s digital age. I would think it’s highly unlikely you’ll be able to obtain any service history for the car.

Was time to say good bye

It’s been a while since I’ve been on the forum so I hope everyone is well. Recently I had to say goodbye to our long serving B class as she developed a fault and it was no longer worth trying to keep her on the road. The B class was our 2nd Mercedes following our CLK which we took ownership...

    Battery Advice Required

Hi all, Been a while since I’ve been on the forum so I hope you are all well. Need to get a new battery for one of the vehicles and I’m now just a little confused! So, currently in the vehicle I have the following spec battery; 12V 91aH 780A, it’s by Lucas and an LP249H. Where I am I’m being...

Water ingress into the B class - under the battery and boot.

A quick update. So we’ve had a bit of rain in Malta over the last few days and I’ve found even more water in the battery well! Was wondering how to clear the drainways under the plastic cover at the bottom of the windscreen as the drain holes in the plastic cover were clear enough for any...

    A quick tyre question!

Sorry did post a reply but obviously something went wrong, although I’ve had a few internet problems recently! Actually I am in B’Kara the top end of Valley Road rather than the Msida end which always floods in the rain. Things have improved dramatically since the flood relRoadbutief scheme...

Water ingress into the B class - under the battery and boot.

Morning Alfie, Many thanks for info, will go and check things out. Was though wondering if the water can get around or underneath the fuse panel located in front of the battery in the drivers foot well?

Water ingress into the B class - under the battery and boot.

Thanks for the information. Sorry but are you able to guide me as to where the drains holes might be and where the water might end up collecting. I suspect that there is a short or draining of the battery due to the water.

Water ingress into the B class - under the battery and boot.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll check the lights and the seals just in case there are any problems or issues, the high levels of UV play havoc with plastics and rubber here in Malta!

Water ingress into the B class - under the battery and boot.

Hi all, Got the above issues with the B and would like some pointers to where or how the water or waterever liquid it is is getting there. From the 2 issues my main concern is the liquid under the battery as I think it is causing me issues with the vehicle. Had to change the battery recently...

    A quick tyre question!

Thanks for the info, but I suppose you have to start from somewhere and at least this information gives you an indication of something at least! Being honest though I’d much rather rather opt for A rated wet tyres, although I’ve never had any issues with the Potenza’s currently fitted, if there...
