research the company well!
I had an Alugard roller door fitted, fitters were like the chuckle brothers, one even had his leg in a cast and was climbing ladders! the door was fitted , but they had dented it in a few places and also put a different controller to what I had asked for. After 6...
I know its bonkers, but that seems to be the case, be interesting to know if anyone has got the insurance to pay out fully ? also depends on the insurance company!
So I got a call and had it booked in for yesterday morning, drove to the auto glass centre, they were prepping up a windscreen as I...
Insist on genuine mercedes Glass, as the car is under 3 years old they will do this at no extra cost.
I have mine booked in next week for a genuine windscreen, but as mine is 4 years old its costing me £480 for a genuine screen.
Ive been looking into ignition controlled power sources (opp of what you are on abt), the cigarette socket is indeed something that switches off after a short time, else you have the risk of running the battery down.
pure or Alpine Ezi-dab units are good, I had one fitted to my old e55
here's a thread I posted on the other side

I haven't bought a car from them but have known of them for many years on the forums, they have excellent cars and very very good customer service. cant say I have read anything bad about them tbh. Small family business.
Had a puncture so had a tyre changed at F1, chain a bit like kwikfit, had no choice. anyhow they must have held a air gun to tighten the hell out of it, when my local refurb place tried to break the locking nut loose, same thing happened, innards shredded, he did want me there was a chance of it...
most of the mercs have the same unit as far as I know. Similar to the above I changed mine on the E55 for a new one, get one from the breakers and it will be a gamble.
For the sake of £100....
pedal fit is same on auto's, some of the accellerator pedals were different on the SL's but that's it. Manuals will have a different set.
a lot of the aftermarket ones are cheap for a set and similar quality and exact look, under a tenner, dealers used to be same until they got greedy!
F1 autos massively overtightened mine and it snapped, had to get a specialist to weld and remove damaging cosmetically one of the wheels... wasn't happy!
MB will have a master set and the parts dept can order a new key for £10 if they aren't hammered on tight
