Those old Bentleys do absolutely nothing for me whatsoever. I've worked on a few too and I just dont see the love for them, but each to their own.
I very much like your CL600. Lovely.
Why are you guessing? A cam magnet wouldnt cause any of the above faults!
It looks like the fault maybe something to do with P0019. My advice to you would be to find a specialist with Xentry so he can run a guided test programme.
Do send me some pictures of the CL600....
Bentley Continental for me are just such a meh experience. Very VAG in switch gear, it doesnt have much personality. I'd much rather find an S65, CL65 or even an SL55 AMG.
Unlikely to be a steering lock failure on that year.
You need to check the EIS switch actual values (may be listed as EZL) and look at the drive authorisation path (your scanner may not be capable of this).
From memory on Xentry it will list:
Key: - Enabled/Authorised
Engine...
It sits right behind the bumper on those so you would either have to look at relocating it or having a bigger cooler mounted into the original bores and mounts.
That doesnt compute to me. An A Service with me would be £190. £300 for a B. Sounds like your Indie has quoted you for a B or an A Service with some additional service items that havent been quoted by the dealer.
I would double check that.
Then you check to see if you have 12v at the pump under the seat. If you have 12v then your supply line from the ECU is ok and the pump would work which means your pump is likely duff.
If you dont have 12v supply then you have some kind of electrical issue, which could be something as simple...
Ignore the fault codes, start with the basics. Fault codes can appear as a consequence and not a cause and as you have been disconnecting stuff you could have introduced this yourself.
To explain...
A diesel engine must have 2 things for it to start, good compression and correct fuel...
