Sounds like a load of tosh. Why would you want to intentionally waste tyres, discs and pads that still have x'000 miles of life left on them?
Equally, it's wasting unnecessary time now on replacing something that doesn't need replacing. Also, it isn't really good on the environment - something...
Hi guys,
I'm looking to order an A-Class and was wondering what sort of lead times to expect from ordering to taking delivery of the vehicle?
Totally new to all this, so some ideas of approximate wait times would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
Just throwing it out there but I had exactly the same symptoms twice - it almost seems like I wrote it. Some members here suggested it was the crankshaft position sensor failing but unfortunately before I could replace it, the car got hit by another driver and written off whilst it was parked...
Have a look here on how to test the sensor: http://www.w124performance.com/service/w124CD1/Program/Engine/602_603/18-220.pdf
There's mention of fuse 8A, but that's probably for the whole instrument cluster. I would just replace the sensor and be done with the annoyance.

I agree though, unnecessarily complicated procedure just to replace a bulb!
If you're wiring in an additional 12v socket and plugging in a USB car charger then I think any of the chargers from Aukey, RavPower and Anker are worth a look on Amazon.
It should tell you which door is showing as open. There's a push-rod switch that is on the body of the vehicle next to the latch which gets pushed in when the door shuts. This tells the car that the door is closed. Ensure that your interior lights is set to light up when the door is open. Then...

On another Google search it says it means your car is registered with the Mercedes Connect Me service. This allows you to use the Mercedes Me app.
Yeh seems a bit of a coincidence that all 4 units are faulty. Did you check and/or replace the fibre cable too?
I had a similar issue for a couple of years. First started with audio cutting on and off randomly when playing the CD changer, then it started happening when playing the radio. Seemed...
Could it be that the replacement CD changer and/or head unit from the breakers yard also have the same fault? I had the slightly newer Audio 10 on a W203 with a CD changer with very similar fault with audio constantly cutting out and turning back on before the CD changer stopped being detected...
Not 100% sure but the fuel pump is accessed from underneath the car.
There's mention here that it's fixed itself after a few days, if that's of any help.
Does yours have the M271 engine? I had a similar issue on mines with the RPM fluctuating up and down when on idle. Turned out it was a split breather hose under the air box.
Thanks guys. It was only a 3 minute journey to drop someone off. Weather was sunny but it was only 8.30am. The last time it happened was also a hot day.
@alexanderfoti @ajlsl600 I have the iCarsoft i980 diagnostic tool. I'm assuming it has the ability to check the crankshaft RPM?
The car did...

Hi guys,
My engine cut out while driving and will not start up again.
I've had this same issue a few weeks ago and had to get it towed to a garage. When it arrived at the garage, the engine started back up again. Nonetheless the mechanic kept the car...
Vid was just for demonstrating how it sounded when trying to start up, my car is a C200K
Thanks. I'd rather the fuel pump than the chain.
I've been reading on other forums people mentioning camshaft sensors? Could this be a possible line of enquiry in my case?
Hmm, I'm not convinced it's the infamous 271 timing issue (yet). Signs indicate no fuel pressure and the engine did start a few hours later at the garage - at which point he kept revving it till 4k rpm. Really praying it's not the timing issue you say it is otherwise it's toast.
Hi guys,
Today my car suddenly lost power and the engine had cut out whilst driving. The engine would not start again and it would make a similar sound to this (from the 26 seconds mark):
The vehicle cranks but would not start
I had to call recovery and the recovery guy did some tests. He...
Hi guys,
For many years I've had the following code appear when connecting a scanner to my vehicle:
P204D-001
S40/4 (Clutch pedal switch), Fault
My car also has an issue when changing gears, particularly from 1st gear to second gear. When taking off from stationary and you want to take off...
