I have read this link with interest since I have a CLC with what appears to be a slow running and labouring passenger door window motor. Is this likely to be a mechanical issue. Reluctant to use until corrected since do not window to be stuck open. Thanks
Hi, I have a slow air leak from a front tyre of my CLC and Costco (who fitted the Michelin tyre) advise that a slight buckle to the inner rim! which they speculate was caused by pot holes!
Are there any recommendations as to where I may get the alloy rim repaired, preferably fairly local to...
Tony, thanks for the quick reply !
I have a Ctec smart charger. If I connect to the jump terminals, will the car electrical feed remain live even when the battery is removed ? I had heard people using jump leads but had hesitant to date since feared shorting.
More powerful Battery is longer but...
Hi, I need to replace the battery on our c200 205 series (with stop start) and wanted to know if the lack of power during the short changeover will result in any issues such as radio, clock settings being lost, or indeed anything more series.
I know for our CLC 203 series, changing the battery...
Fitted new front discs and pads. Worst task was getting calliper bolts undone since at a difficult angle to get enough leverage.
Used torque wrench to set tension when tightening. Did not use lock-tight Blue, and now reflecting if this is required?
Thanks JBell, John and Malcolm for your replies. I was nearly going to order the Brembo slotted discs, but after the comments (John), I took the safe option and phoned MB in Grangemouth and they are to ship for the £5 courier charge.
Good news that the 5 MB dealers in the Grangemouth area are...
Thanks for your quick reply. For some odd reason ECP are selling off Brembo Max high performance slotted discs Brembo part 09.8411.75 with a 83% discount which currently makes them much cheaper than the Brembo standard discs.
Is it a good idea going for the performance option or is there a...
I need to replace front discs and pads on my CLC and whereas I would just normally buy Mercedes parts the local Mercedes dealer parts dept Hughes of Beaconsfield is closed due to COVID 19 and can not even gives date to reopen !
Having looked on line there are too many choices and I would ask for...
Anthony, thanks for the advise. I already have plastic trim tools which were vital so as not to damage the fittings. Replaced speaker grill using a soldering iron to melt new speaker stems in place. All good so far.
Out of interest have you upgraded to a dab radio since this is on my wish...
Andy,
I too saw Televisions post from the past but alas no instructions in the post. He is missed .
Thanks for your suggestions which are consistent with what I have learnt piecemeal to date.
Hope to do the task over this weekend weather permitting.
Nikki
Martin, thanks. Found some videos on line that appear to walk you through the door card removal. Yet to put to test and no coverage regarding replacing the speaker grill.
Nikki
hi, can someone please send me instructions as to how to remove a CLC door card to replace the speaker grill which has been broken by the seat belt fitting. I can see this is a common problem for CLC’s and I would appreciate some help. My em is nikki2512@hotmail.co.uk.
Thanks Nikki
The drivers seat to my CLC has got progressively worse in terms of folding forward to access rear seats. I have removed the cover on the rear and the two steel cables do not appear to be broken since I can feel tension when lifting release button on top of seat.
I have attached photos since...
Read with interest previous post recapping for CLC 220 CDI. Does anyone know a recommended specialist garage to remap in the Gerrards Cross, Ruislip, Amersham area postcode SL9 or maybe further afield fora strong recommendation? Thanks. Nikki
Hi
The K&N publicity leads you to understand that their air filters improve performance and are a real improvement. Are they worth fitting or should I stick with the Mercedes OEM air filter.
I have a CLC 220CDI and the K&N filter that should fit as far as I can see is
E-2018 at best cost...
