Lifting by hand is very stiff , you are fighting hydraulic pressure , even with the pressure release buttons turned (I can’t remember if there is one either side or just on the right )
I think the hinges would last longer if everything was lubed correctly, but I guess as time goes by the...
MB Newcastle have an eBay page , you can contact them about replacement hinge thingys . They will let you know price/availability or searching eBay may yield second hand ones .
The fluid will be hydraulic fluid you will probably need to buy a Litre , there is a MB spec for it but I haven’t got...
It will have a number like G277 on it , but it need removing to see it . Try cleaning it first before buying a new one .

Also don’t buy adblue that has been sat in the sun or is an old date . Maybe don’t top up the adblue tank , but use it and then put fresh stuff in to maybe less than half the tank each time ?
Yes , fill by the brass nut .
and yes those rear plastic brackets need replacing .
Everything that moves need lubing . Especially the receiving bracket that is under the shiny metal oval flaps that sit on the rear deck .
