Hi all,
My colleague bought the above mentioned car locked and parked it. After a month he went to move it but the key fob wouldn’t work and the wee metal key in the end was missing. He’s now locked out and asked me if I knew how to get in. I said no but I know hundreds of people who might! He...
Just woke up and had dreamt the car had been stolen! I’d gone out to take the Mrs to the station and it was gone.
Given the most recent drama this car has experienced I’m not sure the insurance company would tolerate any more calls from me.
So any suggestions as to the best way to ensure...
UPDATE:
Clearly there must have been something boring on Breakfast TV as after my third email I received an email with a pdf attachment from the ULEZ Nobbers stating I was in fact 100% compliant. Now to try to get my £400 refunded.
I blame the new WFH madness. No proper access to the database...
Hello Merc Mates,
Thanks again for all the supportive messages after my nasty collision with a horizontal barrier! Car repaired and good as new. Pics below. Currently still fighting with who is going to pay but I'm making ground.
Todays issue is this. I sold my old trusty E320 CDI because it...
Hilarious only just read this reply!! You're right. Its a real bodge job but it worked......until last week! Gotta try. Did the same with building a house once years ago, I made a dreadful job of it but the next one was pretty good.

Just to clarify the cradle (pictured) was removed from a MB E320 CDI Avantgarde 2004 W211. I connected it to the UHI connector in my identical car (same make and year) and into that I found the Nokia 6100 (pictured) fitted and worked through the cars systems/steering wheel/speakers. I'm sure...
Ah now there’s a thing. No curly cable in view in the tray but perhaps out of sight underneath??? The 6100 fits the tray in my original post pic.
Works a treat. Cheap as chips used to be.
Not this time but I took the cradle from an old car (E320 CDI Avantgarde) and it clipped onto the UHI connector in mine. Thereby allowing me to fit the Nokia 6100. Latest drama is frayed and broken wires in the offside indictor flasher housing.....So bought a soldering iron and will attempt to...
Ladies and Gentlemen and those unsure,(have to be inclusive)
Many thanks for all the chip ins. I have news. I hope this helps other forum members.
For the above mentioned picture I can confirm that it is NOT the Nokia 6310i that fits. It is the ***NOKIA 6100****
Pictures here. Bung any sim into...
